Beckhem

It all started when Beckhem opened up his first set of Batman pajamas on Christmas Eve, when he was three. That is when his love and obsession for fictitious characters began.

He was obsessed with Batman for 2 years straight. He received 3 more sets of Batman p.j.'s (as gifts from loved ones), in case one was being washed he would have a backup. He also has quite the collection of Batman toys too.

The next phase was Star Wars. He believed he was a Jedi Knight. Bens and him would watch Clone Wars together. We painted his room with fun colors, and put up planet/star decals on the walls, and added Star Wars posters for an extra touch. He has a huge collection of Star Wars figurines. At Disneyland, we waited 3 different times to be picked out of the audience to participate in the "Jedi Training" show. To his dismay, he was never picked, but it was so cute to see him believe it was all real.

The current phase is Indiana Jones. At Disneyland, he rode the Indiana Jones rides many times, and picked out an Indiana Jones dress-up set for a souvenier. One night at home, we were playing Charades, and it was his turn to act out a movie. He was rolling around, doing jumps, and diving on the floor. We had no idea what he was acting out. When we gave up, he said, "I'm acting out Indiana Jones, Level 3 from my Wii game!"

It will be interesting to see what comes next...
